It’s been awhile since I last updated our road trip agenda, not counting yesterday’s post about our new rooftop tent. We have just over two weeks left until Krista retires and we hit the highway. We’re nervous and anxious, even though we planned this well.
One adjustment to the plan was made at the start; instead of heading to Tobermory and the Bruce Peninsula, we’re going to head to my brothers cottage to camp and relax for a few days. That fits better than hitting the road running as it gives us time to check our gear and sleep in the tent, plus Krista has been working her ass off and allowing her to chill for a bit feels better.
After the cottage we have a nice site reserved in Algonquin Park for a few days then we head west with an itinerary that was left wide open so we can relax and explore. At least until we get to the Rockies.
Like I posted yesterday, our iKamper SkyCamp Mini 3.0 arrived in Toronto from South Korea via Vancouver last week and we had it installed Saturday. Red Bear Outdoors helped us a great deal and kept us updated. We were running it close to our departure date of June 30th, the tent being the last big item we needed, and here we are! All set to go.

Amazing!!! I wish you both safe and happy travels!
Thanks Kevin. I’m so looking forward to this trip.
