Peggy's Cove
A short video of Peggy's Cove showing the waves, lighthouse, people, and the Swiss Air 111 Memorial. The video files were shot on Sunday and I edited them last night using iMovie '06.
While I was in Toronto last weekend I had the chance to head over to the Allen Lambert Galleria and see the World Press Photo 2007 display. It's one thing to see these photos on the web or in a magazine but to see them displayed in such a large format and together really allows the power of them to speak.
This is a quick post from my new iPod Touch. I'm using it at a cafe downtown. Not a bad little device but it really needs a few more applications to make it useful. An FTP and e-mail program to name a couple. The Wi-Fi works great and the Photos app is nicely designed. Apple has already stated they're going to open it up a bit.
I had a chance to play around with the Nikon D3 last Friday during the Great White North Workshop in Toronto. This is probably the next camera I buy. Very very fast camera. It was a pleasure.
I picked up a Canon HV20 a couple days ago and am having a blast with it. It's a great little camcorder that was highly recommended. It uses miniDV tapes, has a 10X optical zoom, a long life battery, and fit in the end pocket of my Domke F-2 easily (so no extra camera bag).
Here is a sample I made at a Protest in Support of the people of Burma held in Victoria Park Halifax 6 October 2007. It has been uploaded in .mov format and converted by Blogger to a .flv file. It loses some quality in that conversionj. The HD file on my Mac looks terrific.
