The Devil Came on Horseback

I just came in from watching The Devil Came on Horseback that was shown at the 27th Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax. The film exposes events taking place in Darfur that can only be described as horrific. Seen through the eyes of former U.S. Marine Captain Brian Steidle who was hired to be an official military observer and had access to parts of the country that no journalist or photographer could penetrate. Ultimately frustrated by the inaction of the international community, Steidle resigned and returned to the US to expose the images and stories of lives systematically destroyed.

This is a powerful film filled with shocking images of genocide. Sadly it seems the photographs that speak volumes have spoken them to deaf ears.

Pro Boxing

Caveman Productions presented a night of Pro/Am boxing at the Halifax Civic Centre 13 September 2007. Robert Cave organized the event to help promote his son Tyson.

Canoe Trip
