Man Shot

As the Pride Parade and Jazz Fest were celebrated elsewhere in metro on July 21st, one man was gunned down in the middle of the afternoon in north-end Halifax.

A 37-year-old Halifax man was shot to death about 4 p.m. at the corner of Maynard and Woodill streets. Police did not release his name, pending notification of family.

Neighbours reported hearing up to five shots, then looking outside to discover the body of an adult male lying on the street.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
