2007 Blue Nose Marathon

The 2007 Blue Nose International Marathon was held in Halifax/Dartmouth yesterday. David MacLennan of Scotsburn, Pictou Co., won for the third time in the race's four year history. More than 4,500 people participated in the event.

Body Found

Police are treating a death as suspicious after man's body was found at the edge of Frenchman Lake in Dartmouth's Burnside Industrial Park late yesterday afternoon.

A police sharpshooter looks for a good position during a five hour standoff in Fairview 7 May 2007. The man, known to police, later surrendered after they broke in his door. He had assaulted a woman and police believed he may have been armed.
