Afghanistan Protest

Taken during a protest at the Grand parade in Halifax. The march in support of the Canadian Peace Alliance/Canadian Labour Congress/Canadian Islamic Congress call for action across Canada on October 28th against the role of Canadian troops in Afghanistan. In the background is the Cenotaph erected in 1929. It reads "In Honour of Those Who Served; In Memory of Those Who Fell" and refers to three major conflicts involving Canada: the First World War; the Second World War; and, the Korean Conflict.

I posted this shot before but I wanted to put it up again in light of the Trailer Park Boys Movie being released tomorrow. This is a shot of John Paul Tremblay and Rob Wells at a Dartmoth Destroyers hockey game November 20, 2005. They were part owners of the team but the league only played for a year.

AF-S 80-200mm f/2.8

New to me... I picked a used one up online for $900 CDN. Great price for a lens of this quality. Very fast focusing and tac sharp images. I sold my old 80-200mm f2.8 for $200 ($50 less then I paid for it last year). There's a ton of good reviews about this lens onoline already so there's no need for me to write one. Suffice to say it's a superior lens and it looks great on my D200.
