Summer is upon us, and I’ve been working on many things. Our new home is amazing, and I wake up excited for what’s in store. I don’t recall ever feeling this way. It feels like healing.
I began work in a new men’s circle, and I look forward to what something like that gives me. It’s a place to share, and I have a lot to share.
I’ve also started about ten new hobbies, a few of which I’ll finish. It’s the start I love, so I do a lot of starts.
I talk to myself a lot. It helps me understand why I am the way I am and see the difference between valueable survival skills and the skills I no longer need because the threat’s gone.
I used withdrawl as a form of self-preservation. I’d walk out of life for months sometimes, just being too far beyond my capacity, so dumping everything seemed to not only make sense but feel natural.
