The news out of Nova Scotia is unbelievably heartbreaking. My thoughts are with those who have lost a loved one, a friend, a neighbour, a teacher, a nurse, and a heroic RCMP Officer.
RCMP say at least 17 people are dead, including one of their officers, after a man who at one point wore a police uniform and drove a mock-up cruiser went on a rampage across northern Nova Scotia in one of the deadliest rampages in Canadian history. CBC News
Const. Heidi Stevenson was identified Sunday by the RCMP as the officer killed while responding to the call about an active shooter. She was a 23-year member of the force and a mother of two children, one in Grade 6 and the other in Grade 8.
