With everything going on in the news, it’s easy to lose faith in our neighbours and in each other. It’s heartbreaking to know, at a time when the world needs us to be united more than ever, many of us buy into hate or indifference.

Make today different.

Say hi to your neighbour, check in on someone hurting, let the grieving know you care, take a stand and be heard.

The world needs more kindness.

The opposite of love is not hate, it’s indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it’s indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it’s indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it’s indifference. Because of indifference, one dies before one actually dies. To be in the window and watch people being sent to concentration camps or being attacked in the street and do nothing, that’s being dead.

Elie Wiesel

“The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.”

No human race is superior; no religious faith is inferior. All collective judgments are wrong. Only racists make them.

Elie Wiesel

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Martin Luther King, Jr.
