Nikon D90

Now that I've spent all my money on other cameras Nikon releases the D90. Same chip as the D300 (I shoot with a couple D200s) plus the added feature of HD video. It can shoot 1280x720p video at 24fps with a 16:9 aspect ratio for up to five minutes. The major appeal is that it'll work with all my Nikon lenses. As a photojournalist who's constantly wondering what kit to drag around this is a tempting buy.

Chase Jarvis was lucky enough to run a test of a few D90's and he posted the following video.

Specs:

- 12.3 megapixels (the same luscious chip that’s in the Nikon D300)
- D-movie function (that’s right, MOVIE function. 1280x720, .avi format, HD720p)
- High ISO/low-noise performance (Nikon’s ace in the hole. I shot this at 3200 and dug it.)
- 4.5 frames per second
- 3 inch, 920dot LCD with Live View
- Pop up flash with ‘commander’ mode to interface with Nikon's lighting system
- GPS tagging
